The Grand American is an 18” non-cutaway acoustic archtop guitar that pays homage to the pre-war masterworks created by John D’Angelico.
Classic Art Deco design and graceful proportions are the defining elements of this majestic guitar. The Grand American is a modern interpretation of the rhythm guitars of the “Big Band” era, when swing was king and everything American was big and had an abundance of style and class. The Grand American is a guitar that proves that elegance and quality are timeless, and never go out of style.
This model is available in 2 distinct configurations, a traditional model with F-holes or an Oval Hole model. Both versions feature a magnificent “stairstep” pickguard decorated with Art Deco inlays of gold, lapis lazuli, ebony and ivory. A matching Art Deco tailpiece completes the picture. 25.5” scale, 1 11/16” or 1 3/4” nut width, 12” fretboard radius.
